- Set up NetWare servers
- Client workstations and network devices (e.g., printers) using the conventions and standards outlined below under "U of A's Novell Tree and IPX Numbering Conventions.
- Create user IDs, login scripts, and assign access rights to departmental applications and resources.
- Install and maintain departmental applications, resources and additional server components (e.g., web services, FTP services, etc.).
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on both the server and client workstations, working with AICT when necessary to resolve problems.
- Install and manage a backup system for disaster recovery.
- Provide end-user training and support for the departmental applications
